GEOTECHNICAL PROBLEM SOLVING

A structure is only as strong as its foundation. With Helical piles we can accurately calculate load bearing capacity of each pile with the use of digital torque indicators and hydraulic pressure gauges.

Unstable soil conditions

Minimal environmental impact

Solid foundation

Helical piles driven deep (10-40') to load bearing soil enable construction in almost any location. Helical piles excel in tight access and ecologically sensitive sites.

No excavation, no concrete, no mess. Typical footing/ foundation systems require heavy equipment and excavation making a (expensive) mess in your yard. We can typically install piles while leaving your grass in perfect condition like we were never there. Piles for decks, pergolas, solar panels, sheds, etc. are very comparable in price to traditional concrete sonotubes. When you factor in the cost to repair your yard, Helical piles are a much better value. We can also calculate how much weight each pile can hold instead of guessing. If we do not hit our required torque/ bearing capacity, extensions are added until the bearing capacity is met. Installation usually takes 5-15 minutes per pile in good soil condition. Usually, no inspection is needed and framing can begin directly after installation.

Geotechnical soil reports in conjunction with engineered helical piles selected for each site and proper installation result in the most solid foundation system available. Helical piles can be used as a standalone foundation system or combined with traditional concrete foundations. They can also be used to lift and repair failed concrete foundation with specialized footing brackets. A foundation repair is the #1 most expensive home repair in America. Helical piles engineered into a concrete footing mitigate a sinking, cracking foundation.

Bill Farley, Chicago

"Cooper and his team at Ledge Coast Construction have completed multiple projects for me at my Kennebunk beach residence over the last several years. They are conscientious and produce a high-quality product with on-time delivery. I recommend Ledge Coast Construction for any construction projects you are considering."

Jamie Wright, Maine

"Ledge Coast Construction just finished a very complicated 2 and half story fire wall between commercial spaces. This work took smart thinking, strong backs, and skill to get to completion. Cooper and his brother worked tirelessly to get the project done on time and on budget. I will be using them again on future projects and highly recommend them."

Scott Lee, Maine

"I can honestly say that Cooper and his crew did a great job with renovation work on our property. It was a unique project, leveling a sagging exterior corner , replacing an old four panel door set with beautiful new window, door and all matching exterior finish. They were clean, timely, knowledgeable and well within budget. I would recommend them for their quality and care in workmanship."

About

Born and raised in Kennebunkport, Cooper Beveridge started Ledge Coast Construction after spending fourteen years in the field of fine home construction and boatbuilding. He started his career in his early teens, working for a premier cabinet/ furniture builder after school. After high school he recieved a scholarship and attended the Landing School of Boatbuilding and completed the cruising boat course where he built a 22' cold molded center console that sold to a family in Switzerland. From there he went on to work for a small local building company that specialized in frame to finish construction and repair work. The time spent working on those repair jobs gave him a greater understanding for home construction and failure points which enables Ledge Coast construction to build to a higher standard.

When Cooper is not on the job site he can be found offshore in the gulf of Maine, fishing for bluefin tuna and ground fish. He also has a passion for surfing and traveling.
